3rd ANNUAL BIKE RIDE INFORMATION
 

SCoSA is hosting our 3rd Annual  SARASOTA SUNSET BIKE RIDE on

Saturday, May 13, 2006 at Siesta Key South Pavilion.

Staging begins at 4:00 pm

Bike Ride begins at 5:00 pm


BIKE RIDE INFORMATION:

  • There are two bike ride routes - a 4.2 mile family route and a 17 mile endurance route.

  • Motorized vehicles are not permitted in the ride.

  • The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office will assist with ride logistics and route coordination.

  • Helmets are required for children under 16 years of age and highly recommended for all participants.

  • You may register and attend this fun, worthwhile event with your family or friends and not participate in the bike ride part of the event.

  • ONLINE registration may be made at www.SCoSA.org.

  • Information about the ride, as well as locations for purchase of raffle tickets may be found under the Bike Ride section of www.SCoSA.org.

  • Additional commemorative bike ride T-shirts and dinner tickets will be available for purchase at the registration table on May 13th.

  • We are honored to have Scott Dennis, ABC 7 anchor, as our master of ceremonies for this community event.

  • All proceeds benefit the Sarasota Coalition on Substance Abuse, Inc., a 501(c)(3) Florida corporation.

  • The MAJOR EVENT SPONSOR for this year's Bike Ride is Sarasota Coastal Credit Union.

Your Bike Ride Registration includes:

  • Commemorative 3rd Annual Sunset Bike Ride T-shirt

  • Bike ride rest stop and route-end refreshments

  • Live entertainment by one of Sarasota's hottest bands - the Schmitz Brothers

  • Access to the Grey Flannel Gallery silent auction, and the SCoSA silent auction, both to be held beachside

 

SCHOOL TEAM CHALLENGE:

 

Feeling some school spirit?  Want to show off your special school team?  This year we are offering a special registration for SCHOOL TEAMS to take part in our ride.  Registration for a School team of 10 riders is $100, with an additional $10 fee for each additional rider in the team.   School teams can consist of students, teachers, faculty and/or parents, but ALL MUST BE FROM THE SAME SCHOOL.  All school teams will be pictured on the coalition Website following the ride, and the school club with the most riders entered will win a pizza party!

 

 

RAFFLE TICKETS:

 

Two Fuji Captiva 7 speed beach bikes have been donated by Midnight Pass Bike and Kayak [941.346.0891] and Dino's Pizza [941.371.3333] for raffle drawings.  Tickets are $5.00 each, and the winner need not be present for the bike drawings that will be held during the event.  Tickets may be purchased at the bike display locations at Gold's Gym Sarasota and the Sarasota Coastal Credit Union main branch, as well as through the SCoSA office, from SCoSA Board members, as well as from SCoSA Bike Ride steering committee members.

Separate raffle tickets will be sold at the registration area on Saturday, May 13th for additional drawings that will be held during the event for merchandise and services donated by businesses and individuals in support of the SCoSA cause.  The winners of these drawings must be present in order to receive the prize[s].
