of Sarasota County's middle school students and 44% of high school
students reported alcohol use within 30 days before the survey.

middle school students and 24% of high school students reported marijuana
use within 30 days before the survey.

Sarasota County rated the #1 county for Oxycontin® [a time-released
morphine] abuse by youth.

Within 30 days prior to the survey, 2% of middle school students and 5% of
high school students reported misuse/abuse of prescription drugs.
