McIntosh Middle School Team wins Bike Ride School Team Challenge
A team from McIntosh Middle School in Sarasota won the first SCoSA Bike Ride School Team Challenge in May, 2006. The challenge was issued to all schools in Sarasota County, and the School Team Challenge winner would have the most participants entered in the 3rd Annual Sunset Bike Ride and Barbeque held at Siesta Key on May 13, 2006.
McIntosh Middle School was the first winner, and received the prize of a team pizza party. The party was held at McIntosh Middle School as the school year ended. The pizza was from Dino's Pizza on Bee Ridge Road, one of the two businesses who donated a Fuji bike for the Bike Raffle drawing held on May 13th.
