Since its inception in 1999, SCoSA has played a vital role in reducing substance abuse and its destructive impact in Sarasota County.

As we head into the holidays, the Sarasota Coalition on Substance Abuse would like to remind everyone not to drink and drive. All so often, we see lives shattered, families destroyed and loved ones killed or injured at what should be a festive, happy time of the year. We know at holiday times people tend to indulge more, but perhaps the greatest gift one can give a loved one is to save their life if they over indulge. A ride home, cab money or just some heart sent friendly advice may be all it takes to insure a safe holiday season.
